Emerging from the sea of pale blonds in nude sequined dresses this awards season was Miss Nyong’o, who swathed the red carpet in a rainbow of colors while nabbing up nearly every major acting award possible. With equal parts sophistication and avant-garde she took risks and shook up not only the acting world but the fashion world donning everything from Chanel Couture to Fausto Puglisi, all with equally stylish results. The fashion world loved her right back with a Vogue cover as well as campaigns with Lancome and one of her earliest champions, Miuccia Prada, gave her a campaign for Miu Miu. Here’s hoping we see just as more of this glamorous, chic, educated, and talented beauty in 2015
